“The latest addition to the CONTEXT Exclusives lineup, the Kicking Mule Workshop Hand Dye 1980 is a true enthusiast’s jean. This 13.7 oz. white line selvage is dyed using the Japanese hand hank dyeing method known as AWA. The warp yarn is dyed using two different shades of indigo. These yarns are arranged randomly in the weave to create a fabric with great depth of color, texture and fade qualities”. Limited to 50 pairs, the Hand Dye 1980 jeans (US$495) are available now.
Renowned for their denim, equally impressive are some of the other offerings from Kicking Mule Workshop, like these rugged belts. Made in Japan from English saddle leather with a hand-forged contoured buckle, they’re available in natural, brown and black (US$330, very limited supply) from Context.
